Catch up blog

We haven't written for a while - sorry Anna! But now we're back. We've been busy prettying up the house as you'll see from these before and after photos of chez les Hodges. An amazing transformation has occurred. It's kinda been fun, but there would be more interesting ways to spend your time as well.

We've also been feeling busy as Mothy's well and truly back into term time, and AgResearch life has been crazy, with the aquisition of Canesis (wool research company), so overnight I got about 20 new people in my team to look after. They all seem very nice, and pretty efficient when I ask them to do stuff though, so that's good. It's quite a different ethos to AgResearch in some ways, seems much more industry focused and a bit less ivory tower researchers, (so disappointingly less eccentric types. Though maybe I just haven't come across them yet).
We both went to the CF camp last weekend (I was assistant to Kelly-Jean's chief chef position), and that seemed to be a good time, enjoyed by all who attended. We had MUCH nicer weather than last year which certainly helped me enjoy it! All in all Autumn has been a stunning season so far, especially compared to the summer, and Mothy and I had a lovely walk on the beach this afternoon, watching people being pulled along by kites. We decided we need to buy a decent digital camera so that we can share the beautiful scenery with our blog-readers! Watch this space...
